Public Notice: FY26 Budget Hearings Scheduled March 25-March 31, 2025

CASS LAKE, MN — The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe has announced the dates for its annual FY26 public budget hearings, inviting all Band members to participate in discussions about the Tribe’s financial allocation process.

The series of five meetings will be held across the Leech Lake districts and in urban areas to ensure all members have the opportunity to engage. Each session will provide an overview of the Band’s budgeting process and allow community members to voice their concerns, ask questions, and share ideas about how tribal resources are allocated.

The public hearings will take place on the following dates:

  • Twin Cities: Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 7:30 – 9:30 PM at the LLBO Twin Cities Office (2438 27th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN). Dinner will be served at 7:00 PM.
  • District I: Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the S. Lake Community Center in S. Lake, MN. Dinner will be served at 5:30 PM.
  • District II: Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Dave Morgan Community Center (“Bena Community Center”) in Bena, MN. Dinner will be served at 5:30 PM.
  • District III: Friday, March 28, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Onigum Community Center in Onigum, MN. Dinner will be served at 5:30 PM.
  • Duluth: Monday, March 31, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Dr. Robert Powless Cultural Center (AICHO Headquarters), 212 W 2nd Street, Duluth, MN. Dinner will be served at 5:30 PM.

Community members are encouraged to attend the hearing closest to them and take part in shaping how tribal resources are managed.
