The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Tribal Council has approved the 2024 Tax Rebate in the amount of $1,000.00. This amount will be distributed to all enrolled Leech Lake Band Members via Rapid Paycards on December 5th, 2024. To qualify, recipients must be enrolled as of October 18th, 2024, and must be 18 years of age by December 4th, 2024.
For those turning 18 on or after December 5th, 2024, $500.00 will be deposited into Minor’s Trust.
If you are newly enrolled or have turned 18 since the 2023 Tax Rebate, a Rapid Paycard will be registered and mailed to the address we have on fi le. If you need to update your mailing address, please submit a completed W-9 to the LLBO Accounting Office.
For incarcerated LL Band Members (in a Prison/DOC or BOP facility), who cannot receive funds through a Rapid Paycard, a check will be sent to your facility. This is the only exception. All
other payments will be made via Rapid Paycards.
Important: The Rapid Paycard that is active on November 21st, 2024, will be the card loaded with your Tax Rebate on December 5th, 2024.
If you have lost or misplaced your Rapid Paycard, please call Rapid Pay Customer Service at 1-888-727-4314 to report it lost or stolen and request a new card. Replacement cards may take 7-10
business days to receive once requested.
Please note that replacement cards will only be available by contacting Rapid Pay; no cards are available through LLBO offices.
ID Verification: For those with a Rapid Paycard, please note that ID Verification (including SSN and a current government-issued ID such as a Driver’s License or Tribal ID) may be required by Rapid Pay if third-party funds have been deposited into your account.
If ID verification is required, it may delay in receiving funds to the Rapid Paycard. Please contact Rapid Pay Customer Service at 1-888-727-4314 to check if verification is necessary. If so, follow their instructions to submit the required documentation to avoid delays.
